Sixth Grade
The sixth grade visual arts curriculum focuses on the elements of art and principles of design. As students integrate the elements and principles into making artwork, they explore a variety of two and three-dimensional formats using a variety of media in a safe and responsible manner.

Seventh Grade
The seventh grade curriculum continues the exploration of the elements and principles of design across two and three-dimensional formats exploring the following media: printmaking, modular origami, mosaics, and ceramics.
Eighth Grade
Eighth grade students begin to explore art-making with greater emphasis on conceptual ideas surrounding topics that include the use of various media to create two and three-dimensional artworks. Eighth grade students explore the study of sculpture and 3-dimensional design at length.
Students will explore in greater depth, a unit on ceramics that involves the use of handbuilding techniques and methods for creating sculptural ceramics and wheel thrown techniques for creating functional pottery.
The curriculum for all grade levels includes components of art history and arts integration with core subjects.
Art Club
Students will have the opportunity to participate in an after-school art club that meets weekly on Mondays from 2:20 until 4:00.
